I didn’t start out as a strategist, or even a marketer. I started out as a web content writer for my own website. A few years and several websites later, I became an author. I wrote three books that encouraged people to document the stories of their lives.

Those books are where the marketing came in. My publisher was small, so there was no marketing budget. So, I researched and taught myself internet and social media marketing, grass-roots style. And grew my following to over 3,000 regular readers. All by myself.

I parlayed that experience into offering marketing consulting and then went on to work as a:

  • Senior social media strategist at a $100MM pharmaceutical digital marketing agency

  • Senior content strategist at a $2.5B global safety science corporation

  • Senior corporate communications strategist at a $1B consulting engineering company.

Through these roles, I’ve found my passion for marketing communications, and content marketing more specifically. So now, I’m a strategist, marketer, AND writer, a combo that makes me unique.

I’ve discovered it’s the perfect role for me. It helps fulfill my purpose of empowering others and my values of making an impact and connecting with others with empathy and compassion.
